Remote Support

Please contact us on 0861 CLEVER (253 837) or 087 806 1330 if you need remote assistance on your PC. If we are not able to fix your problem remotely, we'll probably need to send out a technician to your site.

We suggest that you have a decent Internet Connection (ADSL) for us to do the remote support. If you have a slow connection, it will take us longer and you will be paying more.

For remote support, please do the following:

Please click on http://www.omnicomsa.co.za/helpdesk.exe to download our remote support tool. If this link doesn't work, you'll need to copy and paste it into your browser's address bar. This is quite a big file (2.2 MB) and could take a couple of minutes to download.

If prompted to run or save the file, select to save it somewhere where it will be easy to find (i.e. your desktop). If you need remote support in future, you could simply phone us at 011 475 2400 and click on the saved file.

Once you run the Teamviewer application, a random ID and password will be generated. You will need to supply our support staff with the ID and Password to enable us to connect to your computer.

Once we've connected to your computer we will attempt to fix your IT problems and phone you when we're done. Remember to close all your confidential information before we connect!

Terms:

  • Please note that we will not be held responsible for any data loss, whatsoever. Please ensure that you always have recent backups of your important data.
  • How much? We charge R 150.00 per half an hour (Excluding VAT) for remote support.
  • Our support staff will maintain the confidentiality of your files and data. We also undertake not to provide any of your information to any third party, except where we are lawfully required to do so.
  • Please take note that we have the right to refuse to provide support for any reason. This includes (but is not limited to) the presence of unlicensed or illegal software on your PC, obscene or pornographic material on your PC or the presence of any material or software that we deem to be unlawful. Remember, you will still be liable to pay us for our time spent.
  • If you are not satisfied with our service FOR ANY REASON, please contact us immediately on 0861 CLEVER or 011 475 2400. We'll get the technician that worked on your problem to rectify any issues ASAP. Again, if the problem was caused due to matters beyond our control, you will have to pay us for the additional time spent.
